Iranian documentary, Memories for All Seasons, has been selected to contend for awards at the International Rendezvous Istanbul Film Festival in Turkey.
Directed by Mostafa Razzaq-Karimi, the film will represent Iran at the competition section of the 17th edition of the festival that is to be held on December 5-11.

The film circles around the victims of Iraqi chemical attack against Iranians during the 1980-1988 war.

Iran has experienced the bitter consequences of chemical attacks, in particular, during the 1987 gas attack on the Iranian border town of Sardasht.

Over 1,000 individuals were killed and more than 8,000 were permanently disabled after the attack. Many children gradually lost their vision after birth due to the chemical bombardment of border regions.

Memories for All Seasonswas screened at the Iranian Peace and Friendship Film Festival in Japan. The film was also dedicated to Hiroshima Mayor Kazumi Matsui during a meeting held on the sidelines of the festival.

The film was presented to the mayor as a symbolic memory to commemorate Iranian chemical victims during the Iraqi imposed war as well as the tragedy of the atomic bombardment of Hiroshima by the United States during the final stages of World War II in August 1945.

The film also scooped several awards at Irans 2013 Cinema Vrit International Documentary Film Festival.
