Beirut, Dec 22, IRNA Lebanese Prime Minister Tamam Salam said on Monday that Beirut government is following up Iranian nuclear talks with the western governments.
The Lebanese premier made the remarks in a meeting with Iran Majlis Speaker Ali Larijiani.
The Lebanese premier conveyed his warm greetings to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Hassan Rouhani and the Iranian nation and government.

Referring to the efforts made by his country in fight against terrorism, he said there is no doubt that confrontation with terrorism requires broadbased contribution as the Takfiri terrorist groups do not abide by any rules and regulations and they only believe in massacre.

Takfiri terrorist groups have abducted many civilians along with 26 soldiers in Lebanon, he said.

Currently, al-Nusra and Daesh terrorist groups are competing with each other but the people in the region should pay the price for the fight against terrorism, said the Lebanese premier.

He appreciated the support the Islamic Republic of Iran renders to the countries in the region.

The Lebanese prime minister said that Iranian support does not go merely to a group in Lebanon but the country belongs to all political parties so that the Iranian support is for the entire country of Lebanon.

Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, for his part, welcomed initiation of political dialogue in Lebanon to elect the country's president as a positive move.

Expressing condolence over killing of some Lebanese people in a plane crash last month, Larijani said fortunately, during your tenure the country is now experiencing calm and your wisdom in maintaining such situation is of prime importance.

Iran fully backs talks between political groups which brings tranquility to the country, Larijani said.

Referring to the successful role of Lebanese army in fight against Takfiri terrorist groups, he said Iran from the early stages knew that the support made by some countries in the region for terrorist groups would turn into a dilemma in the future.

The Islamic Republic of Iran seeks to broaden economic relations and cooperation with Lebanon, he said adding that the country is ready to render services to supply electricity, oil and gas to Lebanon.
