TEHRAN (FNA)- Deputy Commander of the Army's Self-Sufficiency Jihad Rear Admiral Farhad Amiri announced Iran's self-sufficiency in overhauling different military equipment, including fighter jets.
"Today, the military is completely self-sufficient in overhauling and repairing its equipment," Amiri told the state-run news agency on Monday.
He said that overhauling Tareq-class submarines, different fighter jets and overhauling and preparing different radar sites are just a few instances of the Iranian military experts' capabilities.
Amiri elaborated on the military's capability in building surface and subsurface vessels, and said, "The military force enjoys a high degree of power in building surface and subsurface vessels; it crossed the redlines that had been envisaged for the Islamic Republic of Iran by the foreign states years ago and its instance is the Sina-class warships, Jamaran-class destroyers and small and mid-sized submarines that have been built domestically."
In relevant remarks earlier this month, Army Commander Major General Ataollah Salehi praised the high capabilities of Iranian Navy forces and experts, underlining that the country could overhaul and build different types of surface and subsurface vessels.
"Our capabilities are growing each day and we have managed to promote and improve what we have, thanks to Iranian experts' powerful hands," Salehi said on the sidelines of a ceremony held in the Southern province of Bushehr to display the Navy's new achievements.
"In the very near future we will witness the building, renovation and innovation of surface and subsurface vessels by the Navy," he added.
Meantime, Salehi emphasized that Iran's knowledge and capabilities to build different military tools and equipment had no message to the other world nations, but peace and friendship.
