TEHRAN (FNA)- Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi in separate meetings with Turkish, Omani and Algerian ambassadors to Tehran discussed bilateral ties and cooperation.
Turkish Ambassador to Tehran Reza Hakan Tekin, Omani Envoy Saud bin Ahmed bin Khalid Al-Birwani and his Algerian counterpart Sofiane Mimouni had separate meetings with Salehi in Tehran in the last few days.
At these meetings, the Iranian nuclear chief and the foreign ambassadors explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating bilateral ties.
Salehi, a former foreign minister under President Ahmadinejad, and the foreign dignitaries also discussed the latest regional developments, specially Syria and Iraq, at the meetings.
Iranian officials have repeatedly underlined that they attach great importance to the consolidation of Tehran's relations with the Middle-Eastern countries, specially to protect and promote peace and security in the region.
