TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for African and Middle Eastern Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian underlined the political approach for resolving issues in the region.
Current problems in regional countries like Syria, Libya and Bahrain only have political solution, Amir Abdollahian said Thursday in a meeting with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Mohammed Gargash.
The Iranian diplomat also hailed Abu Dhabis attention to regional developments and fighting terrorism.
He further called for facilitating consular affairs between the two countries.
Gargash, for his part, stressed the Islamic Republic of Irans major role in fighting terrorism.
He also described Tehran-Abu Dhabi ties as excellent.
Amir Abdollahian and Gargash in this meeting discussed the latest developments in the Persian Gulf, Middle East and North Africa regions as well as steps to develop bilateral relations between Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister arrived in the UAE capital on Tuesday to meet the Arab countrys officials.
