Tehran, Jan 1, IRNA - Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Thursday criticized Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) for its political programs.
Speaking during a ceremony in Tehran University on Thursday, the senior cleric said the IRIB programs are provocative.


Rafsanjani urged the IRIB officials to make programs that encourage national unity and solidarity among Iranian nation and its various political parties.

In Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) is often referred to by its shortened Persian name Seda-o Sima, which means �voice and visage.�
