Iran censures terrorist bombing in Yemeni capital

TEHRAN (Tasnim) Irans Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman on Thursday condemned Wednesdays car bomb attack in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa that left dozens killed or wounded.
In a statement, Marziyeh Afkham slammed the terrorist attack, which took place outside a police college, and expressed sympathy with the families of the victims.

At a time when Yemen needs stability and peace more than ever, the enemies of this country intend to achieve their ominous objectives through committing such blind terrorist actions and creating insecurity and instability, she added.

Afkham further expressed the hope that Yemeni people, parties and political and social groups will wisely pave the way for the implementation of the power-sharing agreement (signed between the government and opposition) and the return of peace and stability to the country.

On Wednesday, a car bomb went off outside a police college in the Yemeni capital, leaving at least 50 people dead and many more injured.

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), one of the terrorist groups most active wings, has staged a growing number of bombings and shootings across the Yemen.
