Mashhad, Khorassan Razavi prov, Jan 8, IRNA Foreign Ministry deputy for Consular, Parliament and Iranian Expatriates Hassan Qashqavi said Iran was ready to remove visas with neighboring countries provided they do the same for Iranian tourists. Making the remark in the closing ceremony of a gathering on health tourism here in northeastern country on Thursday, he said Iran is interested in removing or facilitating visaissuance for all countries specially its neighboring nations if its sees the same attitude on their parts as well.
He said now that Kuwait has removed visafor the Iranian tourists, Iran is going to do the same for Kuwaiti tourists.
He said the basic criteria for Iran to decide on such issues are its own national interests.
He noted that the fact that Iran issues health visafor those seeking to receive medical treatment in the country is half the price of a regular visa indicates Irans willingness to smooth the process of visa issuance for foreigners.
The foreign ministry deputy further described Iran as a heaven of stability and securityfor foreign visitors as no sad incident has happened to tourists vising the country in the past few years.
Qashqavi said Iran will deal strongly with those may want to enterthe country under the disguise of a tourist.
