Iran, Tajikistan stress expansion of ties

Dushanbe, Jan 9, IRNA Iran and Tajikistan officials stressed the need to expand bilateral cooperation in all possible areas.
In a meeting between the Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan Hojjatollah Faghani and the Tajik Foreign Ministry Deputy Nezammedin Zahedi here on Friday, the two diplomats reviewed regional and international development and discussed bilateral relations.
They also talked about the areas of cooperation between the two countries in such areas as economy, trade, energy, transportation and culture.

The Iranian ambassador referred to plans for the Iranian city of Hamedan and Tajikistans Kulob to become sister cities.

He said Iranian embassy was ready for holding special cultural occasions in Tajikistan.
