Tehran, Jan 11, IRNA -- Representative of the UN in Karbala, Iraq, described Imam Hussein (AS) Museum in the holy city as one of the top 10 museums in the world.
Ali Kamouna made the remark in a ceremony held on Saturday to honor Ala Ahmed Ziaeddin, director of the museum.
The ceremony was organized by the UN with the aim of promoting the city, Kamouna noted.
According to iqna.ir, it was attended by a number of Iraqi and international personalities.
Kamouna also thanked the officials of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Husseins (AS) holy shrine for cooperation in holding the event.
The Imam Hussein (AS) Museum is a great museum in Karbala affiliated to the Astan of Imam Husseins (AS) holy shrine.
