Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA The Army Ground Forces Commander said here Monday Mohammad Messenger of Allah (P) War Games was the experience of a realtime, wide-scale war whose objective was to evaluate friendly forces' might and reaction power in confrontation with enemies.
'One of the manifestations of combat readiness of the military forces was crystallized in the war games, since when a real war occurs it is the experience of the war games that contributes to the defense and operational capabilities of the military forces,' said Major General Ahmad-Reza Purdastan in a ceremony commemorating an army commander.
Mohammad Messenger of Allah (PBUH) War Games were held from December 15 to 31 in an area of 2,200,000 square kilometers stretching from the eastern water of the Strait of Hormuz to the southern waters of the Gulf of Aden, in addition to five Iranian southern and eastern provinces.
The army commander said that the first outcome of the recent vide-scale war games was to heighten the spirit and the self-confidence of the Iranian combatants and ensuring that missions in any part of the operational zones can be accomplished successfully.
'The 2nd outcome was to grant psychological peace of mind to people, as they make sure that their children are highly competent and have no fear of oppressor powers,' added Major General Purdastan .
The Army commander said that the Mohammad Messenger of Allah (P) War Games, which were launched in the southeast Iran and in Iranian and international waters were the experience of a realtime war, in which rapid reaction of various forces, high number of participating combatants and diversity of weapons and facilities used, had provided a unique experience for the Iranian armed forces in all three branches in addition to the IRGC and Basij forces.
