Bushehr, Jan 14, IRNA - The head of Irans Police Brigadier General Esmaeil Ahmadi Moqaddam said on Wednesday that the security crimes committed by offenders from neighboring Persian Gulf states have decreased by 90 percent compared to one decade ago.
Addressing a gathering of police forces in southern province of Bushehr, Ahmadi Moqaddam said than due to mutual cooperation between the intelligence forces of Iran and the Persian Gulf littoral countries, the security crime committed jointly by criminals of regional states have been reduced significantly.
Security is an essential prerequisite to any activity, he said, adding if there is no security, no breakthrough will happen in any society.
Also referring to the recent visit of President Hassan Rouhani to Bushehr, he said, the visit would play a pivotal role in development of the province.
President Rouhani left Tehran for the southern province of Bushehr Tuesday morning.
Several high-ranking officials accompany President Rouhani during his two-day visit.
President Rouhani has so far visited Khuzestan, Hormuzgan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Ilam, Lorestan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Ardebil, Khorassan Razavi, Zanjan, Golestan and South Khorasan provinces.
