TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian national football team coach Carlos Queiroz has dedicated Iran�s 1-0 win against Qatar to the Iranian fans.
Team Melli advanced to the 2015 AFC Asian Cup quarter-final on Thursday in Sydney�s Australia Stadium thanks to a 52nd minute goal from Sardar Azmoun.



�We defeated a strong team and I dedicate the victory to all Iranian fans, who supported us in the match. They believe in our team and trust us in the Asian Cup,� Queiroz said in the post match news conference.

�We could have scored more goals against Qatar. When my team scores one goal, I would be happy but when my team scores the second goal I would be happier. I would like to score three and four goals,� the Portuguese coach added.

Three-time champion Iran, who began the competition with a 2-0 victory over Bahrain, will play the UAE in the final match of Group C in Brisbane.

Persian Gulf Cup winner Qatar will take on Bahrain in Sydney.
