TEHRAN, Jan. 28 (MNA) Irans FM has said while March is a good date for reaching a nuclear deal, the Western side must hasten as neither time nor Irans patience is endless.On the recent remarks by the chairman of Munich Security Conference (MSC) in regard to reviewing Irans nuclear talks in one of its meetings attended by European FMs, Mohammad Javad Zarif told Mehr News correspondent such a meeting was still undecided.
I am not informed who else will attend the roundtable in which I am taking part during MSC; however, there will be a roundtable on Sunday in Munich which I will attend and there is the possibility for Irans nuclear talks to be one of the topics to be discussed, he said.
While stressing that discussing a topic in MSC would not necessarily mean securitizing the issue, Zarif maintained, Irans nuclear energy is not a security issue but rather the countrys rights to obtaining technology.
Iran would take advantage of any presented opportunity to de-securitize its nuclear program, said Zarif.
Iranian FM also urged the western countries to hasten their efforts to reach an agreement by March, stressing that time was limited and the Islamic Republics patience for a nuclear deal was not endless.
At the moment, both sides have agreed on the two issues of Irans right to enrichment and the ending of sanctions; none of our nuclear facilities is going to be shut down, the sanctions are going to be lifted, and IAEA supervision of implementation of the Geneva agreement will continue, he said.
Having failed to reach an agreement by November 2014, Iran and 5+1 negotiators hope to reach a rough deal by March and a final agreement by 30 June.
The 51st Munich Security Conference (MSC) will take place from February 6 to 8, 2015 to discuss current and future issues in foreign and security policy. Over 400 renowned decision-makers in international politics will be attending the event.
