Ahvaz, Khuzestan prov, Jan 31, IRNA Commander of Iranian border police Brigadier General Qassem Rezaie said the fencing of the borderline between Iran and Iraq in south of the country has completed.
He said once the fencing job of the land borders between the two countries is done, experts from both countries will start defining the exact borderlines according to the 1975 Algiers Agreement.
He noted that in this way the agreement will be virtually revived.
The commander further said that despite the evil acts of the hegemonic powers in Iraq, border cooperation between the two nations has been improving to the highest level.
He further said that the land and water borders between Iran and 15 regional countries which is about 8,700 kilometers enjoy favorable conditions.
