Zarif: Nuclear agreement accessible if dual goals are attained
Kampala, Feb3, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said a nuclear agreement is accessible if the two issues of complete lifting of sanctions and Iran?s nuclear activities being peaceful is included in the final document.
Zarif was speaking in a joint press conference with Ugandan Henry Oryem Okello Minister of State for Foreign Affairs after a meeting with him in Kampala.
Stressing that Iran?s nuclear activities are peaceful, Zarif said reaching an agreement is possible.

Saying that nuclear energy is the undeniable right of Iran according to NPT, Zarif added, ?We have this technology and no one can take it from us, because our scientists have been able to achieve this technology.?

We try to show the world that our nuclear activities are peaceful and we can guarantee it, Zarif added.

On the menace of terrorism, Zarif said those countries that are threatened by it, should make anti-terrorism alliances.

Violence and extremism, he continued, are big challenges for Iran and Africa. ?We should cooperate with each other in this regard and deal with it on the basis of our own values, principles, and interests.?

Zarif said Iran and Uganda have always been with each other in political issues and supported each other.

Meanwhile, the Ugandan minister said Iran and Uganda enjoy good relations and Kampala is willing to expand ties in all fields.

He added Iran and Uganda have the same stance on security affairs and struggle against terrorism and Kampala hopes that nuclear talks lead to desired results.

Iranian foreign minister, who is on a tour to four African countries, leaves Uganda for Brundi in a few hours.
