Belgrade, Feb 10, IRNA Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Romania in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Bucharest referred to Irans progress in all fields and expressed willingness for environmental cooperation with Iran.
The Romanian Minister, Gra?iela Leocadia Gavrilescu, told Hamid Moayyer in the meeting that Iran in recent years has made outstanding progress areas, including the environment and natural resources.
As for appropriate axes for Bucharest-Tehran cooperation in the field of environment and natural resources, the Romanian minister pointed to the approval of Environment Fund by the Iranian cabinet.
Meanwhile, the Iranian ambassador referred to the signing of 35 memoranda of understanding with different countries by the new government and stressed on the firm determination of Iran for cooperation with Romania in this regard.
He informed the Romanian environment minister of the invitation extended to the Romanian side by Irans Department of Environment (DoE) for participation in the International Environment Exhibition due to be held in Tehran on Feb. 21-24.
Welcoming the invitation for participating in the exhibition, the Romanian minister expressed the hope that his country can initiate a proper cooperation with Iran in the field of environment and natural resources protection.
