TEHRAN (FNA)- Secretary of the headquarters for the development of Iran-Iraq economic relations Rostam Qassemi called for the further development of economic ties with Iraq, particularly exports of Tehran's engineering services to Baghdad.
Qassemi underscored that Iran enjoys the highest capability in technical and engineering fields and is ready to assist Iraq in implementation of its development projects.
Iran's first Vice-President Eshaq Jahangir and his accompanying delegation are on a three-day visit to Iraq at the invitation of Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi.
Iran and Iraq have enjoyed growing ties ever since the overthrow of the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, during the 2003 US invasion of the Muslim country.
