TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran increased drones flights by 800 times over the current Iranian calendar year (which started on March 21, 2014) comparing to similar period last year, and has formed drone brigade in the Army Air Force bases.
The first drone controllers trained academically would graduate by the end of the current Iranian calendar year .
Iran plans to strengthen flight endurance, equip drones with warfare and electronic war for possible asymmetric wars.
The country is seeking to design and build long-range drones over the next five years.
Drones can be used in observation and surveillance missions, showing war scene online, gathering information, combat flights, electronic war as well as training units.
