TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian announced on Monday that Nour-Ahmad Nikbakht, the Iranian diplomat who was abducted in Yemen late in July 2013, is healthy and the Yemeni government is pursuing his freedom.
Amir Abdollahian said that the abducted diplomat in safe and secure, and the ministry is resolved to pursue his freedom.
Unknown assailants abducted the Iranian embassy staff member, Nikbakht, in Safr street in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, in late July 2013.
Iranian charge daffaires to Sanaa Morteza Abedi said at the time that Nikbakht worked in the administrative section of the Iranian embassy in Sana'a.
