TEHRAN March 02(Shana)--Iran is likely to start delivering natural gas to neighboring Iraq in May, the head of National Iranian Gas Exports Company said.
In case security is established in Iraq, Irans gas exports to Baghdad are projected to start in May, Ali-Reza Kameli said.
He added that National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) has promised to finish the construction of pipeline for gas exports to Iraq.
Iran will start pumping 4 mcm/d of gas to Iraq and will bring it to 35 mcm/d.
Terrorist attacks by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Iraq have delayed the gas supply project.
