Berlin, Mar 13, IRNA -- A German foreign ministry spokeswoman warned against ongoing Israeli and US hardline efforts to sabotage a likely nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers (US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany).

Talking at a regular weekly government press briefing in Berlin on Friday, Sawsan Chebli said we are in the final phase of the negotiation processand we don't want this process to be torpedoed.

Asked by IRNA about her concerns about US hardliner and Zionist attempts to sink the Iran nuclear deal, Chebli replied, 'We have a great interest in bringing these negotiations to a successful conclusion.

'She slammed US Republican senators for sending a letter to Iran over the nuclear talks, fearing it could undermine Tehran's trust in the negotiations at acritical juncture. The spokesperson reiterated this action was 'not helpful' for the western negotiating position.

'We don't want the Iranian side to feel we are not trustworthy,' Chebli made clear. 'We have to refrain from any action that would give the Iranians the impression we are not credible and reliable,' she added. According to Chebli, the political directors of the E3 pus 3 and Iran will meet on Tuesday.

She also did not rule out another round of foreign ministerial-level Iran talks later this month as the March 30 deadlines looms.

The foreign ministers of Germany, Iran, US, France and Britain are also to take stock of the nuclear talks when they meet in Brussels on Monday following an invitation by EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.
