TEHRAN March 19(Shana)--The inauguration of Phase 12 of South Pars gas field will increase Irans gross domestic product (GDP) by 3%, managing-director of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) said.With the startup of this phase, the GDP will be added by 2.5 to 3%, Mehdi Yousefi said, adding that this phase has earned the country $2.5 billion in revenues since sweetening started there.
He said Phase 12 of South Pars is the production of 81 mcm/d of gas, 120,000 b/d of gas condensate and 750 tons a day of sulfur.
Phase 12 of South Pars was inaugurated on Tuesday. It is the main phase of the gas reservoir jointly operated by Iran and Qatar in the Persian Gulf waters.
