96% of Tehranis support nuclear negotiating team: poll

Tehran, April 7, IRNA According to a recent survey conducted by Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), 96.3% of Tehranis are grateful of efforts made by Iranian nuclear negotiating team led by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

82.6% of the respondents said they felt happy, calm and hopeful after they heard about Lausanne framework agreement.

After Lausanne talks ended and the final statement was read out by Foreign Minister Zarif and EU Foreign Policy chief Federica Mogherini, President Hassan Rouhani talked to Iranian people in an address broadcast live on state television.

72.5% of those interviewed said that they had watched the president's speech live on TV.

32.1% of the respondents said that they believe in forming proper relations with the world.

President Rouhani said in a televised speech that the government is keen on rapprochement with the western governments.

In the meantime, 20% others welcomed Rouhani's appreciation of people.

The polls department said that 12.8% Tehranis said that they took the president's explanations about Lausanne framework deal very informative.

However, 3.7% of the respondents were dissatisfied with the outcome of Lausanne talks and 3.7% others say that foreign minister should not give concessions in the course of nuclear talks.
