Astana, April 13, IRNA Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed issues of mutual interest with his Kazakh counterpart Yerlan Idrisov here on Monday.
During the meeting, the two foreign ministers stressed the need for further expanding mutual relations.
They both stressed the importance of strengthening Tehran-Astana relations.
They also reviewed the latest regional developments and exchanged views on several international topics.
Zarif arrived in Astana on Sunday for a two-day official visit to Kazakhstan upon the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart.
During his stay in Astana, Zarif will hold separate talks with his Kazakh counterpart and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
President Hassan Rouhani paid an official visit to Kazakhstan last September to take part in Iran-Kazakhstan economic forum. Rouhani delivered a speech in Astana University.
Meanwhile, the Kazakh president is scheduled to visit Tehran by the end of this spring.
