Tehran, April 25, IRNA - Veteran Iranian journalist Hossein Qandi passed away on Thursday at the age of 64.
Qandi, who had sunk into a coma following a stroke, passed away in a Tehran hospital, Iran Daily reported.
He had an MA in international management from the United States and worked as a senior journalist and university professor for 40 years.
Qandi was famous for his short and to the point headlines.
He worked for a number of Iranian newspapers including Keyhan, Abrar, Akhbar, Entekhab and Jamejam.
Qandi also wrote a series of books on journalism, the most significant being 'Modern Journalism'.
A funeral procession is scheduled for Qandi in Tehran on Saturday and his body will be laid to rest in the celebrities section of Tehran's Behesht Zahra cemetery.
