Envoy stresses expansion of all-out ties between Iran, Kuwait

Tehran, April 25, IRNA Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait Alireza Enayati on Saturday stressed expansion of all-out ties between the two states.

Speaking to IRNA, Enayati said that Iranians residing in Kuwait are among the most technical and professional workers in the country who had a big role in the region's development.

Around 50 thousand Iranian nationals are residing in Kuwait, the official said.

He underlined that based on the agreements between Iran and Kuwait on extradition of prisoners, Kuwait government has accepted return of 55 Iranian prisoners to their homeland to pass their remaining prison term.

Iran and Kuwait have sought to expand bilateral ties through exchanging several high-ranking delegations in the last few years.

Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati and Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak Hamad al-Sabah in a meeting in Kuwait City late October 2014 underlined expansion of ties and cooperation.
