TEHRAN (FNA)- The closing ceremony of the 33th international section of Fajr Film Festival was held in Vahdat Hall at 5 p.m. with Iranian and international guests attending the ceremony.
According to the Public Relations Office of the section of Fajr Film Festival, the 33th international section of Fajr Film Festival was held in Vahdat Hall with the presence of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Head of the Cinematic Organization, the Director of Fajr Film Festival, the Head of the International Section of Iranian Cinema, and other national and international artists.
In the ceremony, the foreign guests from the international section of the Festival, 18th Tehran Film Market, the jury board of international section, many national and international TV channels, ambassadors, cultural counselors, the crew members of the films of the competitive section, and the press were present.
Also, the awards of the competitive section of the Festival, including Eastern Panorama, Salvation Cinema and Art and Experience, were given to the winners in the closing ceremony.
Alireza Rezadad, director of the 33th international section of Fajr Film Festival, started the ceremony by stating that the connections between the nations are getting more and more deepened, and cinema is one of the tools to enrich these experiences.
The minister of culture and Islamic guidance, Ali Jannati, also noted that the 33th international section of Fajr Film Festival is an excellent example of Irans cultural diplomacy, and I am positive this festival will gain more international acclamation in its next editions.
After Jannatis speech, the awards for the Eastern Panorama Section were announced as follows:
1- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Film was granted to Batumengke the producer of Norjmaa directed by Bayaneruul from China
2- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Directing was granted to Elchin Musaoglu for Nabat from Azerbaijan
3- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Script was granted to Whats the Time in Your World? to Safi Yazdanian.
4- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Actor was granted to Marat Oripov for The Teacher from Tajikistan
5- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Actress was granted to Badema for Norjmaa from China
6- Crystal Simorogh Award for Special Jury Award was granted to Men Who Save the World by Liew Seng Tat from Malaysia, Netherlands, Germany and France
After that, Hojjatolah Ayoubi, the head of Cinematic Organization, honored two Rumi Researchers, Vladimiri Malaychof and Leili Anvar, and also granted them Shams Medal.
Also the Statue of Art and Experience was granted to Bird People directed by Pascal Ferran from France, England and Japan
And Statue of Art and Experience was granted to Confessions of My Dangerous Mind directed by Houman Seyyedi from Iran
Also,
1- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Young Talent was granted to Ali Mollagholipour director of Sugar-bowl of Dowry from Iran
2- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Nations Unification was granted to Sayk Sher-Niyaz director of Queen of the Mountain from Kirgizstan
3- The Moustapha Akkad's Special Prize (Golden Flag) was granted to Michel Hazanavicius for The Search from France and Georgia.
The last part of the festival, awards for the World Cinema (Salvation Cinema), started after the awards were granted to the winners of Young Talent Award. The winners of the third section were as follows:
1- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Film was granted to Richie Mehta the producer and director of Siddharth from Canada and India
2- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Directing was granted to Faruk Hicihafizoglu for Snow Pirates from Turkey.
3- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Script was granted to Chen Yang, Wang Bing, Luo Siwei, Sun Haifan, Li Dan, Li Songzhang, and Zhang Peng for Norjmaa from China
4- Crystal Simorogh Award for The Best Actor was granted to Govardhan for Names Unknown from India
5- Crystal Simorogh Award for Special Jury Award was granted to Borderless by Amir Hossein Asgari from Iran
