TEHRAN (FNA)- Vice-Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Seyed Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabi Fard underlined that Iran will never bow to the excessive demands of the US in its ongoing nuclear talks between Tehran and the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany).

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has always welcomed any kind of dialogue within the framework of national interests and mutual respect and the government and people of Iran will stand up against any excessive demands of the bullying countries, specially the US," Aboutorabi Fard said in a meeting with Polish Senate Vice-Speaker in Tehran on Tuesday.

The Iranian vice-speaker voiced his pleasure in the growing trend of Iran-Poland relations, and said, "There are abundant opportunities in political, economic and cultural fields, specially in area of parliamentary relations between Islamic Republic of Iran and Poland, which should be used for the expansion of bilateral ties."

The Polish Senate vice-speaker, for his part, expressed pleasure in visiting Iran, and said, "Iran is an important country in the region and the two countries should seize the present economic and trade opportunities."

He expressed the hope that the ongoing Iran-G5+1 talks would bear results, and said, "The continuation of the nuclear talks indicates the logical policies of high-ranking Iranian officials."

The Polish Senate vice-speaker called for the further expansion of cultural interactions and exchange of university professors and students between Iranian and Polish universities and scientific centers.

Diplomatic ties between Iran and Poland started in the 17th century and several large institutions for Oriental studies are now active in Poland.

Iranians hosted 100,000 Polish and provided them with welfare facilities during the Second World War after Germany occupied the East European country.

Ties between the two friendly countries of Iran and Poland are growing and the two sides are seeking to bolster relations in all arenas.

After nine days of hard work in Lausanne, Switzerland, Iran and the G5+1 reached an understanding on April 2 which laid the ground for them to start drafting the final nuclear deal over Tehran's nuclear energy program ahead of a July 1 deadline.

Reading out a joint statement at a press conference with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini in Lausanne on April 2, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said according to the agreement, all the US, EU and UN Security Council sanctions against Iran would be lifted under the final deal.

The delegations of the seven nations are now in New York drafting the final deal.
