Future of Iran petchem promising

Tehran, May 9, IRNA Iran's petrochemical sector has a bright future ahead as the sector enjoys a magnificent work force.

Mohammadreza Shirafkan who is an expert in designing and construction at petrochemical sector made the remarks while visiting 20th Oil Exhibition, adding even though the sanctions hampered access to foreign made petrochemical parts now the situation is promising due to existence of capable and efficient experts.

In my view over the next one and a half years, we would be able to manufacture and design petrochemical parts and equipment at home by reliance on capabilities of our experts, Shirafkan told Shana.

The 20th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition opened on May 6 at Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds.

The 4-day event has chosen reliance on domestic manufacturing as its motto this year.

Companies from Italy, China, UAE, India, Turkey, Russia, France, Belgium, England, Singapore, Monaco, South Korea, Ukraine, Spain, Austria, Kazakhstan and Switzerland are among the key participants in the exhibition.
