Tehran, May 23, IRNA Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Saturday exalted bravery, patience and resistance of Iranian war veterans by sending four delegations to the homes of a number of war veterans in Tehran.
This coincided with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Abolfazl (AS), the brother of Imam Hussein and the flag-bearer of the Islamic army during the Battle of Karbala, that is marked in Iran as the War Veteran Day.
The Supreme Leader's website reported that Hojjatoleslam Shahidi Mahallati, Taqavi, Qumi and Haj Ali Akbari represented the Supreme Leader in the visits.
The leader's envoys visited homes of the war veterans, getting first hand account of their living conditions, medication, problems and so on.
Also, the leader's representatives in capitals of provinces and Friday Prayers leaders on behalf of the Leader attended homes of a number of war veterans for the same purpose on Saturday.
Disabled War Veterans Day is a fitting tribute to those who lost their limbs and lives at the service of the Islamic Revolution during the 8-year-long Sacred Defence.
