Iran ready to cooperate with Moscow on uranium supplies to Russia

Tehran is ready to cooperate with Moscow on the supply of uranium to Russia and invited the representatives of Russias state-run atomic energy Rosatom to discuss the details of future cooperation, a senior Iranian official said Saturday.
GENEVA (Sputnik) Last month, Iran agreed tocut its uranium enrichment aspart ofa framework deal withthe P5+1 group onthe Islamic republic's nuclear energy program.
"Our colleagues form Iranian Atomic energy organization go toour Russian colleagues duringthe last roundin Vienna and welcome our colleagues fromRussian atomic organization tocome toTeheran and have a coordination aboutthe future cooperation," a senior official ofthe Iranian delegation, involved inthe ongoing talks inGeneva withUS State Secretary John Kerry, told RIA Novosti.
Earlier inthe day, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told RIA Novosti that Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif plans tohold bilateral talks withhis Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov inMoscow onJune 4.
Next Thursday, Moscow is set tohost a security conference forthe Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), towhich Iran is an observer state.
Russia is one ofthe nuclear powers inthe P5+1 group that inApril agreed ona framework forthe deal withIran toensure the peaceful nature ofTehrans nuclear program.


The P5+1 group also includes China, France, the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany.

The deadline forthe final comprehensive nuclear deal withTehran, that would also usher inthe removal ofenergy-related sanctions fromIran, is set forJune 30, 2015.
