Tehran, June 24, IRNA Minister of Education Ali Asghar Fani scaped an impeachment bid by the Iranian parliament (Majlis) on Wednesday.
he Majlis voted in favor of Fani to stay in his post after hearing his remarks about his performance.
Fani succeeded to win 167 votes of confidence from the Iranian lawmakers.
(Majlis) began its session to impeach the Education Minister on Wednesday morning.
First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri was also present in the session.
The parliament decided to impeach the minister over what it said was his inability to win the trust and satisfaction of the body of his ministry and also to introduce comprehensive and long-term plans for development of the Farhangian University which is exclusively training and educating experts for the ministry.
