TEHRAN (ISNA)- Irans saffron exports in retail packages rose by $12.000 in the first two months of Iranian calendar year (started on March 21, 2015), comparing to similar period last year, Customs data showed.
Iran exported less than $20 million saffron in 30 gram packages in the first two months of Iranian calendar year, with the price for each kilogram rose by $1450.
Iran exported $11 million saffron during the same period last year with $1440 for each kilogram.
Irans saffron exports in 30-gram packages rose in terms of weight and price by 80 percent.
Saffron exports in 10-30 gram packages totaled $18.5 million with the price for each of which increased by $10.
Irans saffron exports in retail packages were less than $15 million during corresponding period last year, and it rose by 25 percent comparing to similar period this year
