Tehran, June 29, IRNA � The eighth week of FIVB World League will begin on July 3 while it will be very difficult for Iran national team to advance from its group to the final stage.

In the seventh week on Sunday night, Iran was defeated 3-1 by World Champions Poland in a home game in Tehran to remain in the third place of Pool D of the competitions with 15 points following the United States and Poland with 23 and 20 points respectively.

In the eighth week, Iran will play two home games against Russia in Tehran while Poland will be hosting the US for its two last games in Pool D.

In order for Iran to advance to the final stage, on the one hand, it has to win its two home games against Russia and receive 6 points and on the other hand, the US has to win its two away games against Poland and grab at least 5 points.

The second condition is very difficult to achieve as the US will play against Poland in front of a large crowd of Polish spectators who will cheer their team throughout the game.
In addition, the US has already advanced to the final stage and will not need to exhaust its players in its remaining games.
