Tehran-Athens flight to operate soon

Tehran, July 2, IRNA Aegean Airlines, the largest Greek airline, is to establish a direct flight between Tehran and Athens as of late July, according to Aegean's commercial manager.

Speaking to reporters, Yiannis Pantazopoulos said that Aegean Airlines will have three flights from Athens to Tehran every week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Pantazopoulos said that Aegean has been the best regional airline of the Europe for four years and a member of Skytrax since 2010 with 58 airbuses with an average age of four years.

In order to enter the Iranian market, Aegean has carried out enough studies, Pantazopoulos said.

He said that this airliner currently has flights to all points of western and eastern Europe.
