Tehran, July 11, IRNA � Turkish ambassador to Iran said on Sunday that although Tehran is not the oldest Iranian city, Turkish tourists begin their visit of Iran in Tehran as the capital city is very attractive for them.

Ambassador Raza Hakan Tekin made the comment in a meeting with the governor general of Tehran.

He expressed delight that his diplomatic tenure is in Iran and referred to the problems with which the Islamic world is entangled today and said Iran and Turkey can hand in hand work to resolve the problems.

'Such terrorist groups as Daesh and Al Qaeda have ruined the facade of Islam and it is necessary that the Islamic countries should unite in order to encounter their menace,' said Ambassador Hakan Tekin.

The Turkish ambassador also said that sectarianism should not be permitted to encompass the region.

'The Turkish president, too, in his visit of Tehran emphasized that Islam is the ultimate objective and that the Shia-Sunni division does not matter to us,' he added.

He also highlighted the significance of Iran-Turkey relations as two neighboring counties as of remote past.

The governor of Tehran in the meeting invited the Turkish investors to make investments in various fields such as tourism, hi-tech and food industries and other economic fields in Tehran.

Seyyed Hossein Hashemi added that the Iran-Turkey trade ties need to expand more than ever before.

He also informed the Turkish ambassador that in accordance with a survey launched in Germany after a nuclear agreement, Iran will be able to absorb up to 100 billion dollars for foreign investments.
