Iranians to celebrate Eid Fitr on Saturday
Tehran, July 17, IRNA - Millions of Iranians will mark end of the fasting month of Ramadhan by offering Eid Fitr prayers on Saturday and congratulating their Muslim brethren and sisters over blessings of the holy month.

In Tehran, the Eid prayers which gathers worshippers from the metropolitan capital will be led by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei at Imam Khomeini Musalla.

Local mosques are also used by aging people who cannot attend the mass prayers.

In provinces, Friday prayer venues as well as local mosques will host worshippers who celebrate the Eid by breaking one month of fasting.

In the religious cities of Mashad and Qom, holy mausoleums of Imam Reza (AS) and Hazrat Masumeh (SA) are the main venues for prayers.

The dawn to dusk practice of going on a fast by Muslims includes refraining from eating and drinking as well as meticulous observing of virtuous deeds and taking distance from vice behavior and thoughts.
