Iran�s nuclear negotiating team �stood courageously� in the face of enemies, Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammadi-Golpayegani said on Friday.
It is only Iran that possesses the capability to stand up to the US, he said, stressing that the Islamic Republic �is never after war, but if the United States seeks to take an [aggressive] measure, it will end up ashamed and frustrated.�
�People have tasted freedom after the victory of the Islamic Revolution and will under no circumstances allow the [global] arrogance to infiltrate [into the country],� he added.
Following talks in the Austrian capital of Vienna on July 14, Iran and the P5+1 group of countries � the US, Britain, France, China, Russia and Germany � finalized the text of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

�Israel, Saudi crimes alike�
Mohammadi-Golpayegani also sharply condemned the atrocities of Saudi Arabia against Yemen.
�Their (the Saudis�) crimes in Yemen are like [the ones carried out by] the usurping and infanticide Zionist regime (Israel),� he said, adding, �Both regimes kill Muslims� defenseless children.�
Saudi Arabia launched military strikes against Yemen on March 26 � without a United Nations mandate � in a bid to undermine the country�s Houthi Ansarullah movement and to restore power to Yemen�s fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is a staunch ally of Riyadh.
Local sources say over 4,500 people have lost their lives in the Saudi onslaught.
