Tehran, July 25, IRNA President of German Chambers of Commerce Eric Schweitzer said that his country intends to increase trade with Iran in short-term period to 5 billion euros and in mid-term to 10 billion euros.
Schweitzer, who was accompanying German Economic Minister Sigmar Gabriel in his visit to Iran last week, told German Daily Ostoringer Zeitung that visit of German vice-chancellor to Iran was just six days after nuclear deal and this was a promising sign for German economy.
He reminded that trade balance between Tehran and Berlin in 2005 was 5 billion euros, which decreased in 2014 to only 2.7 billion.
Gabriel earlier told reporters in Iran that German companies want to have a sustainable and permanent cooperation with Iran.
Germany in Iranian year of 1393 was the 14th importer of Iran's non-oil goods.
