The president of the University of Kurdistan has said that a Kurdish language program his university is set to run is a big scientific achievement for the Government of Prudence and Hope.
Fardin Akhlaghian said Sunday that thanks to the prudence of the eleventh government, the University of Kurdistan has been given the go-ahead to offer a program on the Kurdish language and literature, adding this will set the stage for the translation of Persian texts into Kurdish which can be used by Kurdish-speaking people in Iran and neighboring countries.
The University of Kurdistan will admit 40 students to the Kurdish language major in the next academic year [starting late September].
