Tehran, July 29, IRNA Head of Center for Strategic Studies affiliated to the Expediency Council said Wednesday that visit of French foreign minister and EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini to Iran are not unprecedented or unexpected.
He made the remarks on the sidelines of meeting with Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) scientific and technology delegation.
Asked about the UN Security Council resolution on Iran's missile sanction, Ali Akbar Velayati replied that the UNSC resolution about Iran's defensive capabilities, especially missiles, is not acceptable.
The resolution which has been approved under influence of western governments is to weaken Iran's defensive power, so to exert pressure on Iran, therefore Iran will never accept such resolution which has been in contravention of the UN Charter, he said, in reference to Charter of the United Nations respecting national sovereignty of the governments and legitimacy of self-defense.
