TEHRAN (ISNA)- Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem would visit Iran this week to discuss issues of mutual interests as well as key regional and international matters with senior Iranian officials.

Muallem is scheduled to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif.

Russian Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov would visit Iran soon to discuss Syrian situation and political solution to the crisis in the country.

The UN-Arab League special envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura visited Iran two weeks ago where he met with Zarif and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Countries Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
