Mashad, August 4, IRNA Senegalese ambassador to Tehran has called for development of economic and cultural ties with Iran, especially with Khorasane Razavi province.
Baba Karba in a meeting with Foreign Ministry representative in northeast region of the country here on Tuesday said Mashad, because of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine has a great cultural capacity in relations with other countries, including Senegal, with a Muslim population.
Considering capacities of the province in the fields of agriculture, food industry and processing industry, Karba urged for the province's industrial products to be exported to Senegal.
He also underlined presence of Iranian investors and businessmen in Senegal to invest in the processing industry.
Karba said that removal of sanctions created a good opportunity to expand ties between the two countries and that westerners will take more advantages of this situation.
The Senegalese envoy also announced the intention and emphasis of his country's president to develop mutual relations with Iran.
The Foreign Ministry official by referring to the provincial capacities and abilities in the field of economic and culture, expressed readiness for development of cooperation with Senegal.
Gholam Abbas Arbab Khales said that cultural, academic cooperation, holding trade exhibitions, and development in tourism field could be grounds for joint activities between the two countries.
Baba Karba also met with head of Khorasan Razavi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture Gholam Hassan Shafiei.
The two sides discussed exchange of trade delegations, participation in trade exhibitions of the two countries, using experiences and abilities of technical and engineering services of the province.
