Tehran, Aug 17, IRNA - Former prosecutor general of Tehran Saeed Mortazavi has been found guilty for series of charges, the Judiciary said on Sunday.
Mortazavi has been acquitted of several charges but sentenced to imprisonment and return of property over other charges, Judiciary Spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei said at a press briefing in Tehran, Tehran-based English newspaper, Iran Daily reported.
Ejei said he cannot give further details before the verdict is upheld. However, he made it clear that the ruling is about charges for which Mortazavi appeared in court.
