TEHRAN (ISNA)- Austrian President Heinz Fischer would visit Iran in September, said Iranian Ambassador to Vienna Hassan Tajik.

Fischer is accompanied by Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz as well as deputy Chancellor, head of Austria-Iran Chamber of Commerce, scientific figures, representatives of firms and industries owners, he said.

The two sides plan to sign different Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) in different fields during Fischer's visit.

The delegation is comprised of 200 individuals, Tajik said, adding, Austrian president would meet with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and other senior Iranian officials.

He also said that Fischers visit to Iran as the first visit of a high-ranking EU official following the nuclear agreement between Iran and the G5+1 is of great importance.

Iran and Austria would hold the 8th joint economic commission meeting during Fischers visit to Iran which shows the European countrys willingness to expand trade ties with Iran and developing mutual cooperation.

The volume of trade exchanges between Iran and Austria grew by 44 percent in the first six months of this year, suggesting that Austria is willing to join Iranian profitable market.
