Tehran, Aug 30, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and American Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi said Iran attached top priority to its relations with Latin America.
In a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Bolivia, Juan Carlos Alurralde here on Sunday, the official said that Iran attached top priority to interactions with Latin American nations.
He welcomed cooperation between the two countries in various areas.
The two officials also discussed issues such as the dual-standard treatment of the human rights issue and instrumental use of anti-drugs campaign as well as the inefficient policies of certain western countries in fighting terrorism.
The Bolivian official voiced the support of his country for the right of the Iranian nation to peaceful nuclear energy and called for Irans assistance in building dams, generating electricity and farming fisheries in Bolivia.
