Tehran, Sept 2, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday that the government is keen on progress of Information Technology and believes that IT application serves transparency in the policy making and executive sectors.

The government aims to expand swift, cheap and safe national information network applying IT for transparency in economy and improvement of productivity in all sectors.

The President told the weekly cabinet session adopting procedure for application of the Information and Communications Technology, that to raise productivity the cost of trade should be minimized and to this end e-government and moblie-government should expand.

He said that the government advocates transparency in administrative and executive works and campaign against administrative corruption.

He made clear that the government supports modernizing the gvernment services and transparent decisionmaking and safety of the data.
