The president of Austrias Federal of Economic Chamber says 15 cooperation agreements have been signed between Iranian and Austrian officials.
According to Christoph Leitl, the agreements are worth 80 million euros and their value can be increased fivefold.
The cooperation agreements were signed during Austrian President Heinz Fischers recent visit to Iran.
Accompanied by a 230-strong delegation of senior business executives, Fischer held talks with senior Iranian officials during his two day stay in the country.
He has already expressed the hope that his visit to Iran would bring about economic gains for both countries as relations between Vienna and Tehran thaw.
"We expect to boost our volume of trade to 300 million euros in the short term, and we then look forward to markedly increasing our economic relations," Fischer said in a joint news conference with Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani.
The Iranian and Austrian governments have agreed to boost political and economic cooperation, said Fischer, the agreements would benefit both sides equally.
