Tehran, Sept 20, IRNA -- A high-ranking delegation from Japanese private sector comprising chiefs of the country's private companies will visit Iran earlier in October, said head of Iran Trade Development Organization Valiollah Afkhami-Rad.
According to the organization's website, Afkhami-Rad will discuss development of commercial and economic ties with his counterpart Hiroyuki Ishige who will head the Japanese delegation.
The officials are scheduled to hold a joint meeting in Tehran on October 7.
The two countries' private sectors will also meet in Tehran to sign memoranda of understanding in October.
Afkhami-Rad has earlier said that commercial delegations arrive in Tehran in post-sanctions era to evaluate Iran's conditions for investment.
Iran-Japan trade has decreased in the past years as it reached lower than 10 percent in non-oil sector, he said.
Afkhami-Rad has voiced Iran's readiness for joint investment with Japan in various fields including oil, gas, petrochemical industry, minerals, automaking, modern technologies and nanotechnology.
